I have been using Americas Mailbox for 3 years now and it is the best decision I've made in a long time. We travel a lot and not being able to be home enough to handle our mail, AMB has been the best help. S.D. is home but we have 3 other States that we spend a lot of time at so being home to handle mail, licensing(drivers and Vehicle) can be very challenging. Rayne at Vehicle registration for AMB has been a fantastic help with all of my license situations, Without her help it would have been quite difficult to get it... read more

Customer service is horrible. Mail service is fine as long as you don't need anything that requires customer service. If you need something done for vehicle registration, be prepared to wait forever, never get an update, have resend some things even though you followed all the directions, and then when you call to find out what the status is, you will get "the person" being argumentative. And be careful, if you are "argumentative" back, she will just decline to do what you need. If it wasn't such a headache to change to the ... read more

Americas Way Mail Bos in SD helped us a lot last week. We were in town for one day and need to get some documents Notarized and renew our Drivers licenses. We only had one day to do this. Well, they have a Notary on staff so we had that done the first 20 minutes we were there. They had all the information plus the forms you have to fill out for your Drivers Licenses. If we had not stopped here first, we definitely would have had to stay and extra day. Which we were not prepared for. We got every thing done by 12:00 pm and ev... read more

Nellie stayed the extra 10 minutes past closing as we were 60 miles out and running late. She had a smiling face and a wonderful attitude and thanked us very much for our business. I'd put Nellie at the top of your payroll as she is one you'd never want to loose and an employee I'd love to have.

They withheld information that would have caused me not to register my vehicle in SD, which was the tax for my vehicle to get my plates was astronomical. Their mail plan is set up for 7 mail pieces per year with no scanning. A real rip off. Their "campground" has no amenities but a garbage can. Also, it seems certain that although they claim to be experts, you could do this yourself anywhere in SD and find a better option for mail service. They are in this for the money only; you are a mark for them. They don't care about... read more

These people are very pleasant and and hospitable to deal with, however they have two weak points, one of which is mentioned in their reviews over and over again, poor telephone answering service, but most of all, they need some staff that know the motor vehicle registration requirements, which in turn, will save themselves and their clients a big load of frustration. It's two months since we started our vehicle registrations which I hope are now finally done and henceforth, I hope all will be plain sailing.

Found out the insurance rates were a lot higher in this part of the state so we went to Emery, SD where the rates were less. Upon cancelling I found out they hold my mail for 4 months and then return it to sender, not quite understanding why they would want to hold it for 4 months before returning it to sender. Checking into this but you need to be aware that this is their policy.

They are OK for mailing out your mail. I would not recommend them to do your vehicle registrations. I have used them several times in the past, each time it takes over a month to get the plates and registration to return. They do not return emails or phone calls. They will claim that they are shortstaffed and apologize. When you do, your average on hold time is over 30 minutes and a lot of times you will get disconnected and have to recall. It’s a very frustrating experience and I would not recommend anyone to use them.
