Photos that are posted do not reflect the room condition. There was a lot flies and mosquitos flying around the room, I mean I can accept a lesser quality room, but not with a bug infestation. I was in the room less than 1 hour and politely asked to shorten my stay and be refunded, but due to a no cancelation in 24 hours policy I was denied. I packed my things returned the key and left immediately. I find that it is poor service to refuse someone a refund given the quality and cleanliness of a room. My husband and I stayed at the Maddox Inn on Chincoteague Island. The room was comfortable, clean, and cozy, with a nice size refrigerator, microwave, and television. There is a beautiful outdoor swimming pool and also a barbecue area. The Inn is also conveniently located to a lot of great Island attractions. The owner, the office staff, and even the groundskeeper man were all very friendly and helpful; you feel like you are staying with friends. Can't beat this place at $140 a night in July and for a king-sized bed, especially since it includes a per-person coupon for coffee and a bakery item at the next-door Amarin coffee & bakery which is fantastic. There is a courtyard with a small pool (no lifeguard) behind what looks like a converted single-story house. Nice bed, extra nice towels, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee, ironing board, hair dryer and a small goodie bag with soap, shampoo, a couple of candies, and the aforementioned coupon. This is a nice little motel that is reasonably priced and the staff is especially friendly. They are pet friendly too. The pool is clean and nice, and you can't beat the location being really close to main street.
