Completely Unacceptable – Do Not Stay Here Our stay at America’s Best Value Inn in Stonington, CT, was a disaster from start to finish. This hotel is nowhere near what’s advertised online, and the experience left us feeling scammed, uncomfortable, and completely unsupported by staff. Basic rooms with excellent customer service and a convenient locayion halfway between Mystic and Westerley.
If I could rate a place -5 stars I would. First off, the place in person, the rooms and everything looks nothing like the photos online. We got to our room and it was very dirty and smelt like smoke (even though there is a no smoking policy. The guy also tried arguing saying there were some rooms that allowed smoking?!). We went downstairs and went to the front desk to ask for our refund since the room was not what they said it was online. The front desk worker AND the manager both refused to cooperate.
