Lots of character I stayed at the Village Inn last weekend and was plesantly surprised! My husband and I are on the adventurous side and when we saw this motel we were very pleased with the old world feel of the property. You don't find very many places to stay that has as much character as the Village Inn. It's nice to have a cozy place to stay that doesn't feel so generic. With low rates and a friendly staff, we will be back if in the area again.
Friendly, clean, great value Was pleasantly surprised. New, local ownership has totally cleaned the place-it has a different feel. The staff was very friendly and my room had a tempurpedic bed! Great having restaurant that served a good breakfast on site. Overall, great value with lots of conveniences.
Best Sleep Ever Since new owners have taken over the Village Inn many new changes have taken effect for the better. The buildings are currently under renovation, new friendly staff and management. The rooms were very clean. I was told that they are in the process of updating their interiors, but they wanted the new style beds first. Ask for a room with the new temper-pedic style beds. They really do not exist anymore It is a shame because it was still up and running strong in the early 90's and then somehow the owners had no interest in taking care of anything anymore in this restaurant or the hotel and banquet rooms.It is hard to explain to any Columbia County people you sometimes have to spend money to make money and not cleaning things up and modernizing is not good for business. They may still have some meals for lunch but not much. What is sad is it is still there and can easily become a great place ... read more
