American Best is one of the best eye glass place i have been to in the last 60 years. The doctor was so professional and informative regarding my condition. She clarified questions I had. The staff so polite and accommodating. Recommending this place on Cooper Ave in Queens to my Family and Friends.
The first doctor (An Asian male, I'm not sure of his name) which I saw on Wed Sept 24th was a big disappointment. He placed me on the machine and asked which of the reading lines were clearer. After a few clicks he literally handed me my folder without any explanation of the exams I took, and said I can see the front desk. I had paid the extra $30. for the cataract and glaucoma testing and I had to ask him questions regarding my results. He then proceeded to give me one word answers. They pick and choose who to give "thorough" exams for. I went to this location last year and had my eye exam done by a female Optometrist, forgot her name. This year it was a different doctor, with a very different procedure. The "thorough exam" took 1 minute because they said my prescription did not change. It would be nice for a "doctor" to give you an inspection of your eyes just to see if it's good/healthy. They do not deserve any stars for customer care! Only a half star for booking the same week as I called. I am a customer who has been having trouble getting a correct prescription for my contacts. I have been going back to get adjustments on both my contacts and my glasses. The doctor and staff at the 8016 Cooper Ave Glendale NY was extremely rude and spent less than 5 minutes doing my eye exam. These are one of the nicest staff at any America’s Best I’ve ever been to. I was also in and out of my appointment in 15 minutes on a Saturday. Really efficient place for glasses and contacts.
