Can I just say that Americas Best in Whitehall is fantastic. Reasonably priced. Very very friendly staff. Totally worth the drive! They're a busy place but still give great personal attention. Wonderful experience!
Their frames and contacts are cheap, but their customer service and how they talk to people is horrible! They do not help a customer in any way they can or listen to a customer when explaining what needs to be fixed. Also, the wait with an eye exam appointment is ridiculous! The staff definitely needs customer service training!
I have worn bifocal contacts for almost ten years and never been happy with them. When in for my appointment, I told the doctor I wanted to go with single vision lenses and he gently asked if I would try one more time. I conceded and I'm so glad I did! This is the first time in ten years I don't have to plunk on my reading glasses on top of my bifocal contacts to read or do needlework. I can't recommend this AB enough! Now...what do I do with my dozen or so reading glasses scattered about the house?
America's Best? Are you kidding me? 2 pair for $69.99? I got 2 pair for over $400 with the cheap frames! (the lenses are where they make their money) Not to mention that my wife paid about $150 for her 2 pairs. NOT A GOOD DEAL!
