I have been taking my dog to doctor bill and it is staff for at least 7 years. Doctor bill has never been anything but professional as well as personable. His staff genuinely seems to care about my pet. Recently my dog had to have surgery. Scary for any pet owner. Doctor bills bedside manner made me feel much more comfortable with the situation. We called them this morning because our dog had had what appeared to be a stroke and was in excruciating pain. She was very old for her breed and had been going down hill for awhile. I finally got myself in a mental/emotional place to make THE call. Euthanasia. The phone clerk said well they were busy but would check with the Dr. & staff. Julie, We are incredibly sorry we were unable to help you during this difficult time. We do our best to accommodate last minute situations such as yours but sometimes there just isn’t enough time. Dr. Bill was the one who made the difficult decision regarding scheduling that day. Not an easy thing for him. We apologize for any miscommunication there may have been. Making the decision for euthanasia is certainly an emotional time for anyone. We are truly glad you were able to find the care you needed.
Recommended5 stars We switched to Americana after it was highly recommended to us. We've been handled by Dr. Bill and Dr. Sadie, both giving us a wonderful experience. One of our dogs starting having seizures out of no where (something we have never dealt with) and both doctors and their staff helped us tremendously through that process. Staff and Doctors are amazing.
Americana has been wonderful for us, and I’m so glad we found them! Everyone there is kind and friendly, and they make our Yorkie puppy feel at ease, even if he’s getting shots! We highly recommend them if you are looking for a vet in the Bloomington-Normal area!
We take our two mini dachshunds there. One is very friendly and one is a typical snarky Doxie. Everyone in the office is so patient and gentle with the snarky one. It’s so obvious they care about your furry family member and not just your money. For example, I called with ear issues Friday morning and they were able to see our pups Saturday morning. I know people who have to wait days for just a callback from their vet. I highly recommend Americana Animal Hospital!!!
Americana Animal Hospital is amazing! Everyone there was so kind and welcoming, and Dr. Riegler was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful place to bring their pet!!
