Updated late Nov. 2025: offered to reimburse for surprise charge. Updated: November 2025 I prepaid in the spring. The prepayment included a mid season check. In early August I asked them to come take a look at a problem area. They came but firstly had no solution for me; so I think I’ll be dealing with the problem next year. American Yard Service & Irrigation performed the spring start-up for my irrigation system in May 2025, and I am very happy with their service. The technician carefully inspected the system and adjusted the sprinkler heads. He also explained any potential issues. He was professional and responsible. I have worked with several other companies in past years, and I highly recommend this company for irrigation services.
Don’t recommend purchasing wood from them. Wood was advertised as seasoned, but it is very wet, moisture reading at 34. Well seasoned should be 15-20. Called and they just said it’s a bad time of year to buy wood.
Pedro, the technician, was at my -new- house today. The ex-owners neglected to give us the info. for this particular yard service company. They actually left us a big box full of manuals and instructions, so the info. might be somewhere in there. God works in mysterious ways... I really needed an irrigation specialist to teach me how to use the system and, most importantly, to Winterize the system when the time comes. Due to problems with our prior irrigation company, I cancelled them last autumn after they shut down our irrigation system. After getting a recommendation from General Landscaping, I called American Yard Service & Irrigation. The owner, Jamie, immediately called me back and came to walk through my yard to talk about potential needs. He was knowledgeable, kind, and customer oriented.
