been with atic american traditions ins company for about 3+ yrs after they bought out a previous insurance company we had. very disappointed in this company. just received a nonrenewal notice from them because they claim we are in a hurricane exposure area. never made a claim in my life with them or other insurance companies. i have lived in miami now in north fl west of ocala fl and other areas in fl. first i get a text saying nonrenewal then a day later a letter. big b.s. with this company. beware do not get coverage with this company. unprofessional company period. they should be banned from writing any policies in the state of fla.

They decided to limit their exposure in Florida and are non-renewing our policy after 18 years of gladly taking our payments, with no claims. This in the middle of Hurricane season. No company will insure us unless our roof is less than 7 years old. It was brand new and is still in excellent condition, but we will have to spend $13000 to get a new roof so we can have the luxury of having homeowner's insurance. What a *** company, ATIC is. Thanks for nothing, crooks.

Policy holders need to be aware. I have been a customer for years. However, I am no longer a customer come July 21. 2021. I purchased my retirement home and decided to sell this house under this policy because I can't afford two mortgages just as others do. Well, on June 4, 2021, I was sent a Notice of Cancellation of my house insurance by Mr. Erik C., agent from ************* Insurance (***) from Gainesville. Mr. Erik C. sent this june 4 email containing this official declaration of cancellation from *** where it states "the home....appears to be vacant" and no other valid reason. *** is the insurance company acting and processing on behalf of American Traditions Insurance Company (ATIC). After several emails to ***, Mr. C. passed me to Mr. Brian S. I clearly and repeatedly state that my house is not a hazardous and abandoned but up for sale. . It did not matter. Mr. Brain S. does not defend or support his customers, admits that not one single person inspected the property or talked to the homeowner, me, prior to this June 4 email (from either *** or ATIC). Mr. ****** passes the buck to the underwriting dept. of Amercian Traditions Insurance Company (ATIC). And nobody talks with underwriting people except agents which they know that.. Nobody from either *** or ATIC has actually called and spoke with me, the homeowner at any time. Has business people forget what is like to reach out and speak to their customers since the pandemic. I don't know what the real state laws are but this is pretty disrespectful and a poor quality of service of doing business to long term customers. Now I have to purchase additional insurance probably at a higher rate because my home is now labelled as "abandoned and a hazard to the neighborhood". I work hard to keep up a quality home and this is the service i get from insurance companies. ATIC does not care about its customers and will not reconsider. I contacted ATIC and requested to speak to T.J. J. three times to three different people but was not allowed . So I had to talk to a VP ( can't remember her name). She is was unwilling to reconsider and totally suggested to buy new insurance for "abandoned and hazardous houses" and actually told me that may be I will sell my home before July 21. How patronizing and insulting is that.... The only thing I did was to change the billing address for ********** Mortgage to keep payments going. Oh by the way, ********** Mortgage is a terrible company and innocent here. They are not a true mortgage company but a debt collection company and i recommend not to use them, if possible. If I had only knew ATIC's rating of a 2.33 out of 5.0, I would have obtain another company. I gave them 1 star because they are an insurance business out to make money at expense of us, customers. So be aware of this company. I would run, run far way as possible. They will screw you for a buck. Read the only reviews on claim success. ****** ******* *********

American Traditions Ins. Co. is the worst of the worst. I request for a Loss History report from them and have been given the run around; the CS said it couldn't be sent by email so they have to mail it; guess what? 10 days later and I still haven't received it. I call numerous of time looking for this report and each time they said it already went out & they don't have a record of the report. What kind of business does not keep a copy of inquiries. So much time have wasted, I have no choice but to request for another. It's like they don't want to give you the report because they afraid you might shop for some where else. Customer service is horrible, they should be out of business.

I give this company ZERO RATING....This insurance company sucks and are very unprofessional, you pay so much money and when a issue occurs to you property they don't want to pay. The adjuster sent me a text and was a total ***. I tried to reschedule because I have to make money you know my job and got pissed off, telling me that he had to arrange his schedule and 5 other families lives to accommodate me. And that I have to work with him!

Horrible to work with.Filed a claim and they told me for almost 2 weeks I did not have a policy with them.I then had to call my local agent to verify coverage.They finally acknowledged my policy but after many attempts to get in touch with the person working my claim they did not return any emails.Finally after weeks of the date they said I would receive the estimate on my damage they gave me a figure way under the estimate I seeked out on my own.Then even after I showed proof the day my damage occured we were hit with high winds and hail they wanted to claim the damage I received could not have been caused by that storm.I decided to just drop my claim and report them.They are quick to take your money but want nothing to do with actually fixing your issues.They continue to state to call them again and they want to work something out but its a waste of time.Stay away.

Please note that for urgent claims, we recommend that you call our claims department 24/7 to receive immediate assistance. You reported your claim for minor vinyl skirting damage via email at 9:55pm on Friday July 3, 2020. The email form that you filled out was received by us and responded to at 10:31am on Monday July 6, 2020. We did have some difficulty locating your policy and recommended in our email reply that you call us to file the claim. On 7/7/2020 your claim was filed with a date of loss of 7/2/2020. On 7/9/2020 the in-house examiner reached out to let you know that an outside adjuster would be scheduling an appointment to inspect the damage. The adjuster contacted you on 7/16/2020 and the inspection was completed on 7/18/2020. On 7/24/2020 we received the finalized report back from the adjusting firm. On 8/6/2020 the in-house examiner worked the file. Our examiner communicated via phone and email throughout this time and advised you of the findings of the claim investigation. At that point you voluntarily withdrew your claim. Please feel free to call our claims department if you wish to discuss your claim further.
