Absolutely recommend American Shutter Works. This morning they installed Hurricane rated shutters on my deck known as a Cool Deck. Previously we had to install individual shutters which was a real pain staking task for hurricane preparation..not any more. We just had American shutterworks install the rest of our hurricane shutters. We had them do a few about 15 years ago but after using wood and clips for years, we finally got it finished the right way. Andy and Nick did a fantastic job. I chose accordion shutters for the front porch as they are easy to open and close and on the back of the house porch are the panels. While the installation and product are good. If you need something after the shutters are installed, they won’t get back to you. We installed a new door which caused are shutters to not be able to be closed. I’ve left a voicemail, I’ve texted ( which was read back in Feb) but not even an acknowledgment of the message. Very frustrating.
OUTSTANDING installation and post-installation service of our Armor Screen roll down hurricane screen. We must have driven Tim nuts with all our service calls over the years but he always calls or shows up the next day, polite as can be, and addresses all our concerns. HIGHLY recommend this company.
American Shutter Works installed metal rolldown shutters for us 13 years ago. These shutters have saved us from every tropical storm and hurricane since! One push of the button and these things roll down with absolutely no effort! The owner is a standup guy who just got done tweaking a minor problem with absolutely NO CHARGE 13 years later!
