Terrible location. I had an appointment to donate platelets (like I’ve done many times previously). I have a calf strain and have a wrap for it, and my doctor has said it’s ok to donate blood and platelets. I told this to the employee who was preparing me for my donation. While I was seated and the employee was ready to put the needle in, another employee walked by and asked about my leg. Everyone is so friendly there.
Nice folks taking the donations and making the process easy. Also, no more finger stick to check iron, they have a device that can read iron like a blood oximeter checks O2 levels. Wonderful experience!
My family regularly donates blood and platelets at this Red Cross location. The folks are very nice and the facility is very clean. I have had a few issues with the return line "missing" the vein, which obv is a major problem. But, I keep returning since platelets are SO important is cancer and other critical treatments!
