I love coming give platelets. The staff and volunteers are amazing and it's so good to do something for people you will never meet. The Red Cross appreciates the donors and often give t-shirts or gift cards.
Staff is always friendly and kind here. Had a trainee today for the first time who did a great job!
They are very hard working people and amazing staff but heavily understaffed. When it takes 1 hour and 15 minutes from appt time to needle insertion for platelets plus the two hour donation, This is not one time. This has happened in 3 of the last 6 appointments.it is a problem for the donor that has a job and trying to fit the donation. This facility may work for retired people not for working platelet donors. Redcross need to staff this facility better.
I have a scheduled appointment today (Saturday), I completed my Rapid pass and then noticed that the clinic is closed on Saturday. Why does the smart scheduling app schedule at a closed clinic? Called the number but it just goes to the national line.
Nice place, friendly staff. Usually on time.
