This center is an apheresis facility for donating platelets, a blood product often used in the treatment of cancer. I donate as often as I'm able, and the staff are wonderful, helpful, friendly, and grateful. Their company makes the experience all the more rewarding. The process takes upward of 2 hours, and you must get well-hydrated the day before and eat a solid meal afterward, so it's something that takes some planning. I think it's very worthwhile if you're able to give.
