Giving one star because there is no zero star option. Had a 3pm appointment, an was locked out. When knocked, a technician said that they already packed up for the day. Called the Red Cross hotline, and was informed that they were still supposed to be open. Don't believe the hype that they are in such critical need for your specific blood type when they close their donation center down early and turn pre-scheduled appointments away at the door.
I had been a consistent, every 8 week donor for many years. I am O-neg and CMV-neg, which means my blood is good for infants. My last donation was 05/27/2020. I signed up to donate that day at the Waterloo Center and online as soon as I arrived home for 8 weeks from then and the first time slot of the day as I always do.
