Fast intake, great staff.
Awesome place to donate. Staff treats you like family and everybody is so welcoming. It's an amazing feeling to know you're making a difference in the world especially at a time when the world is such a negative shout box. When donating platelets, they have TVs at each station you can watch Netflix and other things (ad free, lol) and you get yummy snacks after. Highly recommend anybody that can donate, donate! Ty for an amazing experience and will be back next week :)
Very very good first donation experience. Staff was kind and communicative and gentle, the environment was very sterile and safe and calm, and the Red Cross is not quiet about being inclusive to all demographics. My whole blood donation process went very smoothly and was much more tolerable than I anticipated. Everyone else seemed at ease as well. For reference, I have a considerably low pain tolerance. Donated blood here today. The crew is wonderful, Sophie was extremely kind and observant. Brittnee is a saint. I was constantly being checked on and felt that everyone was very knowledgeable about what they were doing. The facility is really clean and extremely comfortable. You can tell you are cared for and it makes donating blood a great experience.
Small but nice setup with about a dozen donation beds near the Vancouver Mall just down the road from the local Voodoo Donuts shop. Little testing and questioning verification rooms. Little waiting area in a corner with tables of snacks and bottled water available. Those that donate a couple of pints of blood are in and out in about 45-60 minutes. But those who donate plasma or platelets could be there for 2-3 hours in total but you also get placed on one of the nicer donation beds with a smart TV with remote, Netflix, and h... read more
