Just terrible. An ambulance (that wasn’t rushing/sirens on) hit a pedestrian on a busy main road and proceeded to keep driving, no stop. You would expect ambulance and local law enforcement especially to stop when someone gets hits, let alone they hit the individual! So much for being called “emergency medical services” - they are the ones creating the emergencies and proceeding to drive away from them!

I wish I could give a 0, my insurance company denied the claim because they sent it incomplete and now I am appealing with the insurance because AMR will not file it correctly. This company is awful and take advantage of people. I was transferred to an eye specialist for a torn retina that is a medical emergency. Wouldn’t it be awesome to require ambulances in the surprise billing that medical providers have to follow? I hope this company goes out of business
Ambulance ride was great. The medical professionals that helped me were wonderful. The billing system is a complete scam. They bill intermittently from two different companies (AMR and Abbott EMS) with addresses in two different states, and do not include the correct information for insurance to pay for claims. After you manage to figure that out, they remain a complete scam.
Walk to the hospital! It has been an on going billing nightmare. It never ends. No one in customer service can get it right. They kept billing us. We have HMO and VA coverage. We got tired of it and paid what they said was our portion. We gave up. Weeks later they sent a refund check that they had done am audit and were overpaid. Thought we were done with it. Now we got a bill that says we owe thousands. Back to calling the useless AMR customer service our HMO and VA.
