The billing experience is dreadful and corrupt. If you are having a billing issue immediately, go to the city DA and file a complaint , the BBB and State Attorney General. Some people have had to go so far as getting a private attorney to fight the billing. They don't take the insurance information from the hospital, then they send constant text mesaages about paying your bill like they are doing you a favor with a "discount", and when you add any information to the online link NONE of it actually saves. If you need help with your billing, they will send you to a call center in another country with a person you won't understand, nor will be able to actually help you.
The actual service between hospitals was adequate. However the billing department is completely incompetent if not corrupt. First they submitted the claim to insurance with the wrong patient name. Since then I've called the multiple times three times with the insurance company. Each time they claim that they're going to resubmit the claim with the correct patient information but they haven't done it. When I call they lie to me about the status of the claim. I wish there're negative stars. I was rushed to the hospital by ambulance after hit by a car when crossing a street. They sent my bill, over $2.5k total, to a 3rd party company to handle claims with accidents. This 3rd party refuses to submit the claim to my insurance, and wanted me to pay in full. My lawyer will be in touch with you.
