HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!! STAY AWAY! There are plenty of places to buy mattresses or beds. DO NOT go to the American Mattress in HIghland Park!!!! After buying a bed set, we needed a different box spring.....that was on March 2nd. Since then we have received DECEIVING calls saying the new box spring would be delivered in a week, the next two days, you name it. ALL LIES! Now they don't even answer the phone!!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE LYING MANAGERS/WORKERS TOTALLY UNRELIABLE! MINUS 10 STARS.
Appeared at the store Sat 4/7 at ~3;45 pm , shown as open on the web site, door says open till 7;00pm, lights on, door is locked, we knocked nothing. I understand things happen but a note posted on the door would of shown consideration to customers.
It was an excellent experience. Amazing knowledge, expertise, and ability to understand our needs and interests. We walked in with the intention to just begin the process of researching beds and ended up with a new bed!
Update: they somehow reversed the refund and tried to keep the money. This a total scam business and the bank has been contacted to dispute this charge. Please stay far away from this place. Original review: We ordered a mattress and base on December 1st, paid in full, and were told it would take 3-4 weeks for delivery. After no updates in December, I called in early January and was informed of delivery issues, with a new expected date of January 25th.
