Best pet shop in nyc – I visited American Kennels last week and was treated with excellent service. The prices were more than fair and the grooming was fantastic. I will be back soon.
THE BEST – I travel to New York once a year to visit family and always make a stop at the American Kennels every time to visit and get a grooming, as the groomer in my country not are as good.
My go-to pet resource – I did not buy my dog from American Kennels, but I board there, get my dog and cat groomed there and buy my food and stuff there. I find the prices to be more than fair (about the same as I pay at the big box stores, plus they carry more of the rare and quirky things from smaller companies as well. The grooming as fantastic (especially if you cath it during one of the specials)... And it's the only place I can board, because my havanese is a bit tempermental and comes back from other places in the city... read more
bought my maltese here – Bought my maltese dog here.... in 2004. A lot of people I know bought dogs here with no problems - I'm a native new yorker - grew up here in Manhattan so had a lot of people I knew who bought dogs here with no problem. My dog is great; she is healthy, beautiful, good natured. The Best – I was looking for a dog for a while. My wife and I visited many breeders and kennels but never found love. Our vet recommended us to go to American Kennels because he got his yorkie there. We went in looking for a big dog, and saw a really sweet akita, but after the man heard about our schedule and apt size, suggested us a smaller dog that would be happier playing inside while we were out. We got our 2 shih-tzus from here and they are the second best thing that's happened to our family. We haven't tried their groo... read more
