I had to put a rating just so I could write this - not because I visited. My siblings and I are looking for a place for our mother. Since this particular location is close to all of us, I decided to look into it. Just from reading the reviews, we do not feel that our mother would be safe here -- which is too bad. We truly appreciated the support and hospitality of Landon Carter Asst. Director & Beth Sarotte Office Mgr. We were invited to attend the Rhythm, Ribs and Blues Complimentary Event and tour the facility. We had a wonderful experience meeting the Administrators & Residents. We hope that our Mom will be a resident at American House Southfield.

I agree with Ashley White. Nice apartments. There is NO interior or exterior security that is worth a darn. If you plan on owning a vehicle, plan on it being vandalized by someone. Plan on American House doing absolutely nothing about your loss. If you read these reviews, you will see the corporate response they will give you.

Very nice place to work but as far as security for the residents and employees is horrible! No security at all. As a result of that me and another co worker was attacked by a group of girls one of them that use to work there. American house failed to provide safety not only for us but the residents as well! So anyone can come up there nobody is at the gate checking for anybody! Not to mention another employee faught another employee in the hallways of the resident and she now works there again but we get fired for defending ... read more
