There are many uncertified caregivers provided. No skilled Nursing provided in this Assisted Living Community. Their resident assessment when treatment is needed is to call 911 for evaluation. The residents are friendly and staff nice. The site and building were designed well at the time it was constructed by the original architect and developer. I have only lived in American house for less then 3 months and now I get a letter about my rent and something about the lease. It's to long to go in two, but the manager gets her way I will be homeless. No kidding. West Bloomfield ps I am scared to death!

My mother has been at an American House Facility for a year, we have had a good experience. This week I was informed that if you pay by check there is a 50.00 penalty per month. As much as I hate to rock her world, I am now looking at other facilities to move her to that does not use this 50.00 so called fee to pad their profits. Where is the Federal Trade Commission on this? I offered to pay each month in cash but cash is not accepted? The Beast system is coming!
