I leased a car from Honda of Oakland, and the experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I’ve always trusted Honda for its reliability, but my recent experience has been a huge disappointment. My 6-year-old Honda Clarity developed a leaking evaporator, and I was quoted $3,200 for the repair by the dealer. When I reached out to American Honda for assistance, I was told to go back to the dealer for another inspection—at my own expense—with no guarantee of any help or even an estimate of what kind of assistance they might provide.
