My mom bought a new heating/cooling system for her apartment in The Woods in Rhinebeck. Nothing but issues. 2 years later it still does not work properly: shutting down in the winter and no air in the summer. None of the technicians figured it out blaming the thermostat to parts in the unit. It still has not been resolved 2 years later (she bought the system June 2024 and it is now August 2026). She paid over $12000. I cannot recommend them at all. Poorly run company. They should have replaced the faulty system.
I struggled with the # of stars that I should give this review. So, I was fielding several quotes from local HVAC contractors for a new boiler. I called AH&C and scheduled the date. A very nice and knowledgeable salesman shows and presents several options. I also mention that we're also interested in an A/C system as well. This is what American heating and cooling left our hvac system. I live with two elders and a child. It’s been extremely hot in our home.
My 14 year-old hot water tank failed sometime on a Tuesday. American came out on Wednesday morning (when I noticed the problem). Removed old unit & got new unit up & running by 2pm. Can't thank them enough.
We recently had one of our a/c units replaced. American Heating & Cooling’s quote came in much lower than another one I had. They kept me updated on all steps in the process and showed up exactly when promised. I had a family emergency while they were at my house and had to leave. Bryan Bloch went above and beyond making sure our home was secured before they left when the install was complete. I highly recommend American Heating & Cooling
