I’ve questioned the weight of every bale of hay I’ve bought from here. I finally got curious and I bought a bale of alfalfa that was said to be 85 lbs. The price was $24. I went around the warehouse with one of the employees who picked up numerous bales and attempted to find the heaviest one. The strings were hand tied, like they had pulled a big bale apart and hand tied a bunch of flakes together. I put it on my horse scale (that I had just recalibrated) and it weighed 45 lbs. American Hay went out of business and the the company that took over is Hymer Feed Company
The owner refuses to pay for loads that trucks have moved for him. he owes us over 20k in freight bills
