I went in for soil , working on an experiment , and all the employee wanted to do was up sell me to gnat powder or sticky tape. He didn’t even care or mention soil and would not move past the gnats. I’m not paying $10 or $17 for gnat spray. I didn’t even get my soil and will never go back. By the way, I diluted apple cider vinegar by half with water and sprayed it on the soil and the gnats are gone. Cost me just a few pennies for the entire life of the plant. I stopped by the usual place I get my soil from and they have closed down.. So I searched for another grow supply store and ended up at this awesome store! The other place I always just stopped at when I'm in Springfield never had the other stuff I needed or wanted just soil. When I went into AmGrowS I was so impressed and was greated very nicely felt like I already knew them even though it was my first time there. I went in to talk about grow lights for the plants I want to over winter in the house. I learned an amazing amount about this areas soil and it's requirements. This place is a treasure trove of information and soil nutrients. I truly loved it
Cool store but the living soil has tons of bugs. Ruined my whole grow after switching to them when harvest was out of soil. I went to them for 6 months and got aphids and thrips like crazy. Having to now reset and start over with clean soil. If you don't like bugs in your soil then stay away.... The rest of the store is good but soils loaded with insect eggs...
