I live in Seattle but somehow found American Folk Art + Framing and liked the gallery on FB. I visited Asheville recently and sought out the gallery and had a marvelous experience speaking with the delightful owner,Betsy and hearing the history of so many wonderful artists she features. The location and space are great too and there is parking and a nice coffee bar/bakery next to it.

What a joy it is to experience the American Folk Art Gallery in Asheville North Carolina. Wandering through the gallery, seeing and experiencing the artwork is a walk through the Appalachian world. Face jugs shock your senses while tall elegant pots wait to be seen in your home. The paintings, and sculptures tell the story of many lives in unusual and stunning visual presentations. Go there in body or in cyberspace; your heart and mind will be opened.
