I recently had the misfortune of being the victim of a hit & run accident in which my vehicle was a total loss. The uninsured motorist claim took over two months to settle. The Oregon DMV is backlogged and incredibly slow in these current times. There were also challenges with my insurance adjuster as well. The whole experience overall was very unpleasant.
