Out of state investors beware! American Equity Plus is not a reputable company. I was their biggest investor and they became a parasite on our resources. The owner grossly underestimated the amount of work that the properties needed and lied to us about the costs of the repairs quoting us a rate of “$10/hr” for labor for a few guys and then sending us bills for thousands of dollars.
