If I could give 0 I would. Our power goes out 1-2 times a month. They keep increasing costs but they don't upgrade any infrastructure. Useless company.
They don't inform you but increase the rates. All you have surprise of $150 more now. Felt like got scammed.
AEP is the worst. No matter how many times I pay my bills they overcharge me. Even if I pay the full amount at once, the next week I get a high bill. I talk to 4 different employees and they all are about as lost and confused as deers wandering outside. So far, I’m not satisfied with AEP as a first time customer.
On 7/3/2025 I came home to no power and found out that AEP had cancelled my account and switched service to another person to start in a few days. I was never notified of this. I am the homeowner and the only person living here. They had to give me a new account number because they had already deleted my account without talking to me. The customer service did not care and told me this happens sometimes. I asked how to keep it from happening and they told me this is how they do service requests.
