We had a great experience renting from Camp Host. The reservation and pick up process was easy and they took the time to show us the processes for using the RV and answering any questions we had. We had one minor issue on the road and they were easy to contact to help resolve quickly. We had an absolute dream vacation and are eagerly looking forward to doing it again. Thanks Camp Host!
This was our first RV rental experience that we booked for an important trip to visit aging parents. We signed up for Camphost's 2024 Entegra Odyssey, but were informed 2 days before our trip that the RV we signed up for was unavailable and we would be "upgraded" to this 2020 Wayfarer RV. The delivery was late due to the tires needing replacing at the last minute which was strange as the unit appeared to be taken out of storage. Very disappointed with the experience. I got one of their most expensive class C and I thought I paid for a premium product but it turned out to be far from premium. The RV looked nothing like the pictures they have on their website (I think those are pictures from when it was new). As you can see from my pictures, everything was incredibly beat up: furniture worn out, bathroom door handle was "missing", seats held together by tape, fire extinguisher missing, stabilizers control missing with the wire coming out. Camp Host has changed their name from American Dream Vacations. They are not a reputable company. I rented 2 trailers from them in Nov 2024 and the deposits have not been returned. I have made numerous call and sent emails. They are very apologetic and promise to send the $540 asap but they never do.
We had issues with our camper booking, the add-on items, and the staff not really being aware of our arrival. I think part of it was related to the booking service and incorrect product descriptions. The camper was great though, so once we got under way, everything went smooth including turning it back in.
