I had a blow out on my Dodge 2500 heading out to the sand dunes. American Custom Tire had the right BFG's in stock at a super competitive price so I replaced all four. While in their waiting room I noticed that they carry UTV tires as well. Their prices on ATV/UTV tires were cheaper than the Polaris dealer where I live so I ended up pulling my RZR off the trailer and had five new tires put on it as well. I had a great experience. Really down to earth good people and prices. Great service too.
Reasonable prices, but terrible service. Unfortunately, this is the only tire shop in Quartzite so there is really no choice. As I was getting a tire patched I was waiting inside. Another man came to let the mechanic know that he needed a tire changed. His English had a bit of an accent to it, but the mechanic made rude remarks about the country being America and if he had gotten an education or not. I will first off say that this shop is always busy, but that's because they do great work at very reasonable rates. I can't imagine taking my vehicle anywhere else now. They have always taken care of me in a timely manner. They are a family owned business that has been open for 40 years to my knowlege. I hear they have a hard time keeping employees (due to extreme heat in the summer), and have been short staffed for a long time. First of all I am an owner operator of 30 years. On 4-17-11 I was on my way home to California from Texas with a 4 horse traiier fully loaded with 4 horses, 4 dogs and 4 cats. We blew the second tire of the day about 30 miles east of Quarztsite, Az. I went to Quartzsite to get new tires, and rims. I found American custom tire in Quartzsite. i called the emergency number and was told they do not do car tires. Unfortunately this place holds a monopoly in and around the area of Quartzite AZ. We had the front driver's side tire blow out on the I-10 about 10 miles outside of town and had to be towed in. After a scare like that we decided to have both front tires replaced. We were told it would take 30-40 minutes to get the tires changed. Two hours and 40 minutes later we were trying to pay.
