Just a couple photo comparisons of how far we can refresh carpets in the work area. We cannot get them completely clean, but good improvements.

OK, just a reminder about spillguard pad. Just today I had to tear out 2 basement carpet pads made with spill guard. PLEASE put just a good quality standard pad in ANY basement. Just one water damage will require the pad to be removed and thrown away. You cannot suck water thru a plastic liner. And cannot dry that kind of pad. I can save both standard pad & carpet under a normal water damage. Your choice bragging rights or common sense.
PLEASE EVERYONE Take off your shoes and walk around in your basement. No joke, that is a very good way to check if your carpeting is getting wet from all this moisture. Also check closets & under stairs. Sooner you catch, the less chance of severe damage. We are getting many many calls on water leaking into homes. Even homes that normally do not have problems.
YES, SPRING IS COMING.😂🤣😅 With that comes, the snow melt. Just wanted to offer some important suggestions to hopefully avoid water migrating into your home. 1st if you have basement window wells (small or large) that are NOT covered. And may be full of snow. Please trudge through the snow & dig them out. Depending on how fast we warm, up can greatly affect if water will leak into your home. JUST A HELPFUL SUGGESTION FOR ALL OF YOU PLANNING A TRIP AWAY THIS WINTER. Anything can happen in your home while you are gone. A water leak is one of those things you can limit damage by following some basic steps. One thing you should do before you leave, is SHUT OFF YOUR MAIN WATER SUPPLY. Also, if you have an electric water heater turn the breaker off. If gas water heater turn to pilot. This way if your water heater leaks or drains, you won't damage heating elements.
