They do an excellent job of putting on a very large event for skiers of all types. The last skier is as important as the first.

The trail groomers at the Birkie must have some magic potion. amazing.
This was the second Fat Bike Birkie I've done. Both of them were the Little Chico. Excellent trails and organization. Volunteers were awesome! This year, 2018, the race start was at the Birkie headquarters. I like this much better than the start in Cable that was done in 2016. Better parking and no road to ride on. I'd recommend this race to anyone that is looking for a cycling challenge but might not be up for the longer race. Plenty of hills but nothing that can't be climbed (maybe one hill kicked my butt).
