To describe AAAS in one word: reactionary. Having had numerous interactions with AAAS over the past few weeks, I am now absolutely certain that, had Albert Einstein proposed any of his ideas to AAAS/Science: Brownian motion; relativity; photoelectric effect - that he would have been encouraged to throw all these ideas into the fire and abandon his field.
