When we needed to replace our flooring in several rooms and stairways we got estimates from several different local installers. We decided to contact American #1 Hardwood floors, even though we were going with vinyl plank flooring. When Andy initially came to look at our place, he gave us good advice on how to reduce our costs along with helpful design suggestions. I have to say that Andy really let us down. Initially, he did a great job on our floors at a very reasonable price--so let me be clear on that. HOWEVER, the follow-up is you need anything touched up/repaired is dismal. I've called him twice now to do some repair work and he said, "I've got you on my follow-up list." That was 18 months ago! He sure showed up timely when he wanted his final payment, though. But, as a customer who needed follow-up, he has been very, very disappointing. Andy and his team did an excellent job on our hardwood floors. They are fast and incredibly efficient while holding themselves to a high standard of quality and craftsmanship. He was able to patch our hardwoods in the middle of our living space where we took a wall down and the floors seamlessly blend right in. Andy was very accommodating of our tight timeline. We will definitely be hiring Andy's crew for any work we need on our floors for years to come and highly recommend his services!
