Company is out of business
Horrible customer service. I ordered parts and a computer test set to comply with an AD on 10/5/2017 and still have not received the parts, It's been 8 days and we are in Oregon (should take 2 days to get here). Have talked to Victor numerous times and he keeps saying the parts shipped, but won't send me tracking numbers after 3 phone calls, numerous messages and numerous e mails. Do not do business with this company, there are a number of different ELT batteries you can install, do not install an Ameri-King.
I purchased a 451 model. The batteries in the unit discharged even though the unit was not transmitting. I replaced the batteries which I purchased from AmeriKing. Then a few months later my avionics shop had to reopen the ELT to check the battery manufacture date since AmeriKing lost its PMA. The batteries were manufactured prior to the date AmeriKing lost its PMA and still had their charge. Unfortunately, the next Annual Inspection, the unit was found to be inoperable again.
