I moved out of my previous residence on July 1st and was charged from July 10th-August 5th. I'm not stupid. I know I called in to let them know (twice) that I was moving and to put the utilities back in the landlord's name on July 1st, but she couldn't see any other information on her computer screen. Also, she really seemed to be a bit lost when talking on the phone to me.

I absolutely despise Ameren and can't wait until I move to a state where Ameren doesn't exist. Your rates are trash and it affects working class people that obviously can't get approved for energy assistance! The high bills pile up on us and then you threaten to disconnect. Maybe if you keep your rates stable then people could afford to pay on time every month! Your energy assistance programs are trash as well. Sorry I don't live off food stamps and have a bunch of kids running around. That still doesn't mean working class p... read more
