I cannot say enough about the care and support we received from Amedysis Hospice. They were an incredible and intricate part of the support structure with the care of our Mom and Dad, each having different types of dementia. The nurses, the chaplain, Caitlyn our CNA was amazing. In the most difficult moments of mine and Duaine’s life we felt the presents and comfort of God when we needed him the most. Caitlyn and Kelly D were the biggest part of this for not only Duaine but for me as well. This was more than just a job for them. This is a calling! My uncle Johnny was on Amedisys hospice! He has amazing care and could have asked for a better care team. Kelly was his nurse and she provided amazing care and support while for my uncle Johnny and for our family. We were also thankful for our aide Caitlyn who was also amazing and went above and beyond for my uncle. The Chaplin Steve and Social Worker were so very helpful in our time of need. So thank you to Amedisys Hospice for everything you did for our family and my uncle!

There are certain people who come into your life during the hardest moments and somehow make the unbearable feel a little more gentle. Tracey McCall was that person for our family. This inhumane company declined transport of my mother to a hospice facility they had approved 24 hours before on the grounds of her being conscious. Her condition had declined from the time she was approved but she was still denied. Companies like this are the perfect example of what’s wrong with the for profit healthcare system in this country. I wouldn’t expect anything else from a company owned by United Healthcare. No dignity, no compassion, just profit. Soulless.
