Used Amedisys Hospice for my dad and then six months later used them for my mother. Very different circumstances. My dad was on hospice for almost two months. The team was amazing for checking his vitals, helping bathe and feed him, handling acute infections which arose, etc. Very compassionate team who went above and beyond. My mom only had hospice for two days. My mom got to come home as quickly as she did because of the diligence of the team at Amedisys. The worse experience possible. They were great at filling my home with expensive medical equipment that we didn’t need and now will not pick up. We had to go out and purchase everything we needed. They gave us no education on how to care for a dying person. Disgusting experience in every way possible. Please get your equipment out of my house and never come back.
