I've never had so much problem getting medical supplies. I've asked for 2 weeks just for saline and alginate rope. They keep telling me that they have a problem with shipping. They have to order the supplies, to have a problem with shipping. When I call the office, about supplies, they tell me either to call the nurse or that they will, and then neither call me back. My family member became gravely ill. At time for discharge from the hospital we had to decide between hospice and home health. My family member wanted to fight to get better. We reached out to Amedisys and they very promptly had a team of skilled nursing, PT and OT onboard working along side of us to help this determined soul to reach his goal. My mom was a Hospice Patient with this Co. It was a very socialistic Co. The Social Worker was the main problem.She was like a dictator.She would ask things that weren't her business.one day she called me up.giving me the 3rd degree again. I told her I had enough of her verbal abuse. She turned me over to the DSS. Really, I was like on a 30 day trial period. I decided the best thing to do was discontinue service for my Mom with them. If considering this Co. I would reconsider it.
This agency is unethical and abusive to patients. My son was admitted for home health care and they refused to provide the supplies he is prescribed. Complaints are ignored. They don't even care about Medicare complaints. Use another agency.
