Probably the first 5-star review for a collections agency. In this case, hospital billing erred multiple times telling me my account was current even though I was getting late notices on my account. Sent to collections even with payment plan active. Representative was super understanding and clearly explained my options. Ended up saving money with a settlement.
They are the sorriest collection agency that ever was Received a bill Of $1,000. They couldn’t tell me what my primary nor my secondary insurance paid. All they could say was that my primary insurance made an adjustment on the bill, not a payment. Told me to contact my insurance agency. Why would I contact them when I don’t even know what the itemized bill says in detail. I told them no court would award them any money when they can’t even give details of what the insurance paid.
Absolutely awful debt collection company that are used by Sacred Heart Hospital in Destin Florida. At no point during my admission to the hospital did they tell me how much the various tests were going to cost us, so I ended up with a bill for over $2,200 payable by me after insurance payments. Because I couldn’t pay they sent it to Amcol Debt Collection Agency who clearly don’t care about the customers, they just want their money.
