Note: this review is specifically about the Amber Timber Lodges in 14 mi/Crooks. For info on the property company that owns it and is also in the same building, search "Amber Properties." I stayed here from 2021-2025. I genuinely enjoyed my stay. These apartments are very unique. You won't find anything like it, for better or worse. It's important to note that every apartment is slightly different, offering different amenities. So a tour is 100% necessary. I took a tour and the place felt like a 1970s time capsule, it gave off a really creepy vibe and the window unit AC looked even older than the unit and I'm not sure how it was even still operable. The people in the leasing office were nice at least. Although rent was reasonable the outdated units turned me off so I went with another complex.
