Great upscale Indian Restaurant Amber is one of the upscale Indian restaurants which has a bar to boost. Great Indian food and buffet available in the afternoons while a la carte available in the evenings. this is one of those places where you would like to bring your client to impress. PROS: Great Indian choices and great menu options CONS: a little too expensive
Upscale Indian Buffett It is expensive --so we cannot go there very often. But we love their food. There are many many choices--specially on sundays! Atleast 3-4 different kinds of appetizers (& salads), 4 veggie entrees, 4 or more non-veggie entree, 2 kinds of rice dishes and about 3-4 kinds of dessert (& fruits). Different kinds of bread is served to table (naan, pooris etc.). On sundays they also have a special corner--where they once had special parathas made to order, once they had chaat and another time they had momos ... read more
Buffet is ok- A la carte is much better We have been there a couple of times for both and i find that the buffet is good, with some choices but i find that the items that you order from the menu are much tastier and better. However then it does become a little on the pricier side. The service is great, and everyone is very friendly and helpful.
Fusion Indian Good fusion (Americanized) Indian food, good cocktails, good ambience. On the pricey side, though...
Pricey Indian food I tried their lunch buffet and was satisfied. Most of the other indian buffets that I have tried, the food just sits there without being heated but in Amber I was happy to have food from buffet that was hot and fresh. Service is ok.
Upscale Indian Food High priced noveau/California Indian food, best describes it. Some of the stuff is not traditional Indian food, but was apparently the chef's concoction. Good though, I thought. If you are looking for traditional dishes you can get them here, but its not what the place is all about. It is trying for the hoity toity crowd, not the masses. This may explain some reviewer's disappointment below. To be honest, well prepared and tasty Indian food in its traditional form is available at any number of other place... read more
Go for your WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE ever. I am 500% convinced that the positive reviews written here are written by the staff themselves! This has to be WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE.of my LIFE. I'll keep it short and to the point. The food is okie types but overtly prized and the Manager is EXTREMELY RUDE. They are over their head due to making so much money but do not care for customers. If you object to something they are very rude and say absurd things like "I can challenge you" and this comes from the manager himself. ... read more
