The hotel is just a few blocks west of Marquette campus. It is elegant, like a step back in time. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The parking structure is very well lit, very close to the hotel, and the parking spaces are a nice size even for larger vehicles - much better than the parking ramps at other Milwakee hotels I have visited. If you have a car this is really an ideal location because it's very easy to get in and out of the secure parking lot. I found the service to be helpful and courteous. My room was very clean. for the most part the hotel is kept in very, very good condition.

The hotel has saved all of the historical look and feel of the original art deco Ambassador but mad current restorations and improvements. The elevators are fun to just open and shut. The clerk that checked us in was super friendly and offered many suggestions of ways to enjoy our time in Milwaukee. We had no problem arranging the shuttle to downtown and he was easily contacted for a return pick up just before midnight. There was some street noise, understandable for the location. My experience was great. We loved the decor It brings you back in time very nostalgic and a very friendly professional staff will have me coming back again!! The free shuttle service to anywhere in the city with only 1/2 hour advance notice was great We were celebrating a birthday so we left the driving to the professionals! anywhere you wanted to go amazing!

We were in town for the weekend leading up to the Paul McCartney concert at Miller Park. This hotel was a great find. The restorations are magnificent. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed and pillows comfortable. The final clincher for us staying, however, was the complimentary shuttle service. It allowed us to travel by train and not worry about driving and parking. They took us everywhere in the downtown area we wanted to go as well as to the stadium for the concert. we stayed here for 2 nights while attending a BREWER game.the hotel is considered in the downtown area but it really is not. it is on the very outskirts of downtown.our room with 2 queens was excellent.immaculately clean with all the conveniences. the hotel has coffee shop,full bar and restaurant. the hotel shuttle FOR US was excellent. it took us to the ball game in 5 minutes. it took us to the river walk and to the lake front. we had absolutely no problems with the shuttle.

We stayed at the Ambassador last fall and it was everything and more than what we expected. The architecture is beautiful. The location is perfect and not far from many different attractions. Yes if you go 2 blocks in the wrong direction it gets pretty bad. Don't go there. The staff friendliness especially the bar and the shuttle were some of the highlights of our stay. I have stayed at the Ambassador every July for the past several years. I love the art deco interior and historic feel. The public areas are really cool and always well kept. I have enjoyed sitting outside sharing a drink with friends as well as outside dining. The rooms are huge and have all the modern conveniences but maintain that historic feel. I never hear a sound from outside or other rooms.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was helpful and polite. The room was large and comfortable. The elevators were fun. The shower was great! Everything was very clean. People mention that its not in a great area, but its not a bad area either. Its right by Marquette University. There is a parking garage and a shuttle to key places. We were very pleased.
