For the price point, I expected a much higher standard. Unfortunately, the room was very outdated, with white paint hastily applied over old doors and windows in an attempt to freshen up the look — which didn’t work. The “ocean view” was minimal at best and not what was advertised. The bathroom was inconvenient, with no shelf or ledge in the shower to place toiletries, leaving the only option to set them on the floor. Ótima localidade. Quartos limpos, toalhas limpas. Recepção educada e prestativa. Lugar seguro. Café da manhã dentro do esperado pelo valor da diária. Café bom, opções satisfatórias. Acesso à praia fácil, possui cadeiras, barraca. Excelente. Fomos em família, todos gostaram.
Buyer beware!! My family recently booked at this hotel and while the desk staff was really friendly to say we were disappointed would be an instatement. We called the evening before arrival to inquire if our suite had a balcony; the lady who answered the phone did not say hello, the name of the hotel or any identifying information and was talking to someone who must have been at the desk. Great Hotel, I highly recommend. Will definitely use again once we come back to the Palm Beach area.
As a local, it's worth noting that The Palm Beach Daily News reported, once again about the structural safety issues...that structurally, the Ambassador Hotel building is a "life safety issue". Palm Beach Fire Chief and Code Board calls deteriorated condition of Ambassador hotel 'life-safety issue'.
