Terrible. I had an upper GI scheduled and a colonoscopy scheduled on Friday, 7/5/24. The office was in constant contact, insurance reviewed way in advance of appt. The day before prep day I was told the insurance rejected the procedure. I called my insurance and they said no such thing. A week before my procedure the office called me to change my appt from 11:45am to 7am. Then 1 day before prep day at 3:15pm, the day before 7/4 when businesses close early they cancelled my appt. All of my physicians retired during Covid so I had to find quite a few new doctors. My new PCP recommended R. Pressman as I hadn’t had a colonoscopy in many years. I spoke with her and made an appointment and she was wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and was very reassuring and compassionate after the procedure when she told me that she had to remove 14 polyps and several were very large. I have been waiting for her office to process a referral for 4 months. I called today and they now tell me that they are denying the referral because I am seeing another doctor, but I am not seeing anyone else! They didn't even bother to call me to tell me about their denial despite me calling them at least 6 times during this time-period asking when the referral would be processed and begging them to expedite it for me. Words cannot describe how upsetting this experience has been. Four months later I am still without a doct... read more
Great visit. So nice. Ver knowledgeable. Listened and provided great care.
I visited Dr. Pressman during the peak of COVID. I was initially skeptical of a video visit with a Gasterenteroligist, but I needed to see someone. The video visit was quite smooth. I was happy to to not be in a little gown waiting for someone to come into the room! We had a good conversation and made a plan. She suggested some great options to help manage my issues. When I followed up with her in person a few months later, I found her to be just as good in person as on video.
. My daughter suffered because of either human error or mistakes, I believe she is a good dr but there are doctors who are better versed in chrons and biologics. Thank god I took my dr to Boston and he recommended seeing dr Shah who was trained by Dr. Cheifetz in Boston. Was referred by my PCP. I was told I would like her. My PCP was spot on. She asked a lot of questions, but let me ask all mine as well. At the end of the visit I felt good about my situation and knew exactly how to address my issues.
I saw another female GI dr about 9 years ago and my experience was so horrible that I delayed my colonoscopy for years. Dr Pressman was so wonderful and caring and helped make my experience easy!
