i’m a very medically anxious person and after reading her reviews, i was nervous for my appointment. however, my expectations were well exceeded. She was very personable, very professional, she helped me with several issues during my very first initial appointment with her which impressed me. She never once seemed too busy, annoyed or like she had something better to do. She was awesome. The entire staff was awesome, i got in very quickly. 10/10 recommend choosing her as your doctor.
At my recent well check Dr McAllister brought her drink into the patient room which had two disturbing stickers on it. One said “You’re never alone when you have demons” the other said “Maybe today Satan”. Since she’s a doc with Mercy which has Bible scriptures on the walls, this very much doesn’t align with the values this hospital holds. I could write a book on how terrible of a doctor Amanda McAlister is. She is the most dismissive and disrespectful adult I have ever encountered in a professional setting, and I do not understand how she managed to land a job where she is expected to HELP people. Our first visit to establish care and discuss medicine lasted less than 10 minutes, where she did not ask any expanding questions, or care to listen to me describe what I am struggling with. Terrible physician. A disgrace to what “Mercy” means.
I would give a -100 if I could, I don’t know where this woman got her medical degree but they need to revoke it. She is the worst doctor I have ever been to. She acts like she’s annoyed every time you bring something up she did not examine me. She did not care.
