I want to thank Dexter for being my saving grace today. I arrived to the bank at 5:01 knowing they close at 5:01. I desperately needed to make a deposit for my employer. The whole team was very understanding and assisted until the end, thank you soooo muchmuch for your hospitality and A1 customer service. Blessings!!

I initially gave them a one star, but have to say they aknowledged their mistake, took responsibility, and did everything they could to make things right. I appreciate the effort.

I'm proud to say that I put my money where my mouth is, and Amalgamated Bank has made that decision easy. Their Executive Director is a Black woman, and when my business, Level Leaders, was looking for a fiscal sponsor to take donations, all of the big organizations said no because we didn't have $1 million in committed donations—a classic catch-22. been banking with them for over 20 years. they're a regular profit-driven bank with a labor background. when i opened my account, they issued me checks printed at a sweatshop. i had to get my own union-printed checks made. if there's a problem with your account, they take zero initiative to sort it out. no courtesy call, email, or text. so if you like looking at your bank account once in the morning and again in the evening for discrepancies, this is the place for you. 2-stars because they have yet to accidentally give all m... read more
