After four years, I’ve seen this property decline from a well-managed community into a dangerous liability. Mainly caused by the transition to a new part-time management team two years ago. I would NOT recommend anyone move into this community especially if you have family/kids. UPDATE December 15, 2025: Fire Alarm is going off for over 15 minutes and there's no FIRE DEPARTMENT! It's worse than being annoying, it's potentially deadly. Stay away! The fire alarms go off constantly and usually around midnight. Very poor service and management. They are making fire alarms seem trivial, therefore making it very unsafe for all neighbors.
I’ve been a resident of Cortland Legacy for 3 years now. Had both two bedroom and a one bedroom. The first couple years have been great. I have had no problem with any of the staff at the actual location. Maintenance is great they come really quick usually with a day or next business day. But their corporate office/employees are the worse poor communication and they always use AI support agents that don’t get you any real help. This is the worst community and worst management. I am suggesting please don’t stay here. You will get a lot of problems and stress only.
