I think Dr Vokes is a great doctor. However, I think she could work on her bedside manner. I hated to write this review but I ended up needing to look for a new doctor when I was 37 weeks pregnant. It was the holidays and she seemed over worked. On our visit when discussing things she was extremely rude and seemed angry. My husband and I both left the visit like what just happened . Dr Vokes is the gold standard of care. She safely delivered two of my babies and took great care of me during difficult pregnancies.
I was referred to Dr Vokes by my long-time primary care physician whose wife is Dr Vokes' patient. Unfortunately, I never did get to meet Dr Vokes. When I called to make an appointment for a routine annual exam (note that I am in my 60s, so this would have been strictly a well-woman gynecological exam, nothing to do with obstetrics nor any health issues, historical or current) I was told that I would have to come in for an "establishment appointment" first and then come back for a second appointment for my actual annual exam... read more
Dr Vokes has delivered both of my babies and they are both very healthy today (3yr old and 7month old). She is an amazing OB! My first child was born with a Nuchal cord (it was wrapped around her neck 4 times) she saved my baby girl by being diligent and having me go to L&D the same day as my last routine appointment before my due date, if she hadn’t suggested monitoring the baby that day I would have gone home not knowing my baby was in distress (she wasn’t moving as much but I thought that was normal at the end of 3rd trim... read more
